HP-UX SNAplus2 R7 11iv1 Release Notes (September 2005)
Chapter 1 5
ASUITE is a set of APPC applications. Use ASUITE to perform functions such as file
transfer and others.
— Full Duplex APPC
Full Duplex APPC is an addition to the existing APPC interface that allows
transaction programs (TP) to send and receive data at the same time.
— Session Level interface (SLI)
SLI is an extension of an LUA interface, working at a higher level. SLI allows you to
work at a logical message level, rather than being concerned with the details of
individual request units (RU).
— Primary RUI
Primary RUI is an extension of the Logical Unit Application (LUA) RUI interface.
Primary RUI allows you to write programs that emulate a PU type 5 mainframe,
talking to downstream PUs. This allows you to either completely eliminate the
mainframe or to off load some of the mainframe processing to HP-UX systems.
