Note
The domain = domain_name line is the only required line in this le.
The following sections explain the contents of the le. Where a parameter in the le takes the values YES or NO,
any string beginning with Y or y is interpreted as YES, and any string beginning with N or n is interpreted as NO.
[Conguration]
The [Configuration] section of the le contains conguration information for the client, as follows:
domain
The domain_name argument indicates the domain name of the SNAplus2 LAN, as specied during the client
installation. This line is required.
snauser
The user_name argument indicates the user name of the SNAplus2 user on this client. This name was specied
during the client installation.
If the client will be running 3270 or 5250 emulation, and you want to congure the user explicitly instead
of using the default emulator user conguration, this name must be dened as an emulator user name
in the SNAplus2 conguration, using the define_emulator_user command. For more information,
see Section 8.1.1, Conguring 3270 Emulator Users or Section 8.2.1, Conguring 5250 Emulator Users.
Otherwise, this line of the le is optional. If this argument is not specied, 3270 or 5250 users on the
client can use either a record dened for a group of users (see the snagroup parameter) or the <DEFAULT>
user record, if any, in the domain conguration le.
snagroup
The group_name argument indicates the group name of the SNAplus2 user on this client. This name must
match the SNAplus2 conguration on servers, as follows:
If the client will be running 3270 or 5250 emulation, and you have set up the SNAplus2 conguration
to include emulator records for groups of users rather than an individual record for each user, this name
must match the name of an emulator user record that is dened for use by a group of users. Emulator user
records are dened using the define_emulator_user command; for more information, see Section
8.1.1, Conguring 3270 Emulator Users or Section 8.2.1, Conguring 5250 Emulator Users.
If you have not set up emulator user records for groups of users, this line of the le is optional. If neither
the user name nor the group name is specied, 3270 or 5250 users on the client can use the <DEFAULT>
user record, if any, in the domain conguration le.
If the client will not be running 3270 or 5250 emulation, this line of the le is not required.
