HP-UX SNAplus2 R7 Administration Guide

Dening Connectivity Components
Dening DLUR PUs
Whether SNAplus2 retries the attempt to contact the DLUS if it fails on the rst attempt. If you set this
option, SNAplus2 will retry indenitely if the rst attempt fails. If you do not set this option, it will only
retry once.
5.3.2 Parameters for Passthrough DLUR for Downstream Nodes
You need the following information in order to congure SNAplus2 to use passthrough DLUR to transport trafc
between dependent LUs on downstream nodes and a host:
Downstream PU name
The PU name associated with the downstream node. The PU name must match the PU name congured on
the host computer.
A downstream node can support multiple PUs. In this case, each downstream PU is associated with a different
link, so you need to congure multiple links between the SNAplus2 DLUR node and the downstream node,
and you need to know the downstream PU name for each link.
Consult your SNA network planner to nd out the PU names associated with the downstream nodes.
DLUS name
The fully qualied LU name of the host LU that supports the DLUS. In order to use DLUR, the DLUR
component of SNAplus2 has to establish an LU-LU session with the DLUS on the host.
Consult your SNA network planner to nd out the LU name for the host DLUS server.
5.3.3 Additional Conguration
After conguring DLUR, continue with the following conguration tasks:
To congure LUs for DLUR, see Section 9.3, Conguring DLUR.
To congure other passthrough services, see Chapter 9, Conguring Passthrough Services.
To support specic user applications, see Chapter 8, Conguring User Applications.
To support APPC communication, see Chapter 7, Conguring APPC Communication.
