SNAplus2 supports the following additional APIs:
• Advanced Program to Program Communication (APPC) Application
Suite (ASUITE)
ASUITE is a set of APPC applications. Use ASUITE to perform
functions such as file transfer and others.
• Full Duplex APPC
Full Duplex APPC is an addition to the existing APPC interface that
allows transaction programs (TP) to send and receive data at the
same time.
• Session Level interface (SLI)
SLI is an extension of an LUA interface, working at a higher level.
SLI allows you to work at a logical message level, rather than being
concerned with the details of individual Request Units (RU).
Primary RUI
Primary RUI is an extension of the Logical Unit Application (LUA)
RUI interface. Primary RUI allows you to write programs that
emulate a PU type 5 mainframe, talking to downstream PUs. This
allows you to either completely eliminate the mainframe or to offload
some of the mainframe processing to HP-UX systems.
