Overview
SNAplus2 RJE (Remote Job Entry) provides the functions of an IBM
3770 terminal, allowing communications between SNAplus2 RJE and
host Job Entry Subsystems such as the following:
• MVS/JES2 (Multiple Virtual Storage/Job Entry Subsystem 2)
• MVS/JES3 (Multiple Virtual Storage/Job Entry Subsystem 3)
• VSE/POWER (Virtual Storage Extended/Job Entry Subsystem)
Using SNAplus2 RJE, you can perform the following tasks:
• Submit jobs to the host for processing
• Receive output generated by the host
• Issue commands to the host Job Entry Subsystem, and receive
output from these commands through the host console
This chapter introduces the features of SNAplus2 RJE and describes
some typical uses.
