Version C.02.90
12/2011 Web Release and 3/2012 Media Release
• This release includes updates to support the migration of the HP ITRC to the HP Support Center.
• The minimum Java revisions were updated to 1.5.0.20.00 for Jre15 and 1.6.0.07.00 for
Jre60.
• This release enables support for future methods of verifying patch and bundle download
integrity.
NOTE: HP recommends using revision C.02.90 of SWA because changes in the package structure
of Java60JRE (Jre60) might result in installation issues for older revisions of SWA on PA-RISC
systems.

• This release includes defect fixes.
• As of this release, SWA is supported on Windows within HP SIM for HP-UX 11i v2 and v3
only.

• Support for catalog download from non-HP-UX systems.
• Enhanced support for the download_cmd extended option.
• The SWA documentation has been updated. See the SWA Administration Guide at http://

• Support for authenticated proxies.
• When running SWA from the HP-UX command line, you will be prompted for your ITRC User
ID and password if they have not been specified.
• The SWA manpages have been updated.
• This release includes defect fixes.

9/2010 Web Release
This version of SWA gives entitled customers access to patches on the HP IT Resource Center.
IMPORTANT:
SWA C.02.75 supersedes all preceding versions. Older versions are not capable of downloading
the HP catalog file and patches from the HP IT Resource Center (ITRC).
The swa report, swa get, swa step catalog, and swa step download commands now
have two new options:
