Using HP Integrity VM for hardware consolidation
HP Integrity VM provides complete OS instance isolation, while sharing hardware resources that are dynamically
adjusted based on workload demand. Virtualization makes it easier to share hardware because one Integrity server
can host multiple OS instances. Therefore, the Integrity VM product is a good solution for hardware consolidation. It
enables you to:
Reduce the complexity and number of hardware components required to run multiple OS instances
Improve your return on IT investment through optimized server utilization
Increase server flexibility through easy resizing and relocation of VMs
Improve service levels, such as application response time, through workload management (HP Global Workload
Manager), which provides automatic provisioning of resources based on user-defined level objectives

Figure 1 illustrates the system configuration used during this benchmarking exercise. We describe our configuration
as fully as possible to enable others to reproduce our environment and measurements.
