HP Virtual Connect Enterprise Manager (VCEM) version 7.3 centralizes network connection
management and workload mobility for HP BladeSystem servers that use Virtual Connect (VC) to
access local area networks (LANs), storage area networks (SANs), and converged network
environments. VCEM helps organizations increase productivity, respond faster to workload and
infrastructure changes, and reduce operating costs.
Update recommendation
HP Virtual Connect Enterprise Manager version 7.3 includes new enhancements and features.
Updating to HP Virtual Connect Enterprise Manager version 7.3 is recommended.
Supersedes
HP Virtual Connect Enterprise Manager version 7.3 supersedes HP Virtual Connect Enterprise
Manager version 7.2.2.

Enhancements
HP Virtual Connect Enterprise Manager version 7.3 adds new features including:
• IE 11
• Expanded support for VC 4.1x.

Fixes
The primary objective of this release is to support the latest HP hardware platforms, support the
latest revisions of already supported operating systems and hypervisors, and to fix software issues.
This release offers improvements in the following areas:
• Resolved Firmware Update and Cancel Maintenance operation issues that failed with a
configuration mismatch error for profiles configured with FCoE networks.
• Fixed FCoE connection Port Speed Type to update correctly when changing assignment.
• Resolved copy server profile function when the source server profile does not have FC or FCoE
connection.
• Fixed VCEM “Domain status is Unknown” error message.
• Resolved the issue that allows creation of a profile with HideUnusedFlexNICs set in the VC
Domain Group with a firmware mode that is earlier than VC 4.10. This feature requires VC
4.10 or later.
• Corrected Cancel Maintenance error messages that display unsupported features in a VC
Domain Group firmware mode.
