To crop the image, either enter numeric values in the Crop Box text fields, or click and drag the handles
at the edges of the preview. Clicking the button labeled “Revert” will restore the crop box to its original
values.
Color
Click on the tab labeled “Color Adjust” to edit the overall color properties of the image. The post-RIP
color adjustments that are available are:
Brightness–indicates how light or dark a color is, how close it is to black. Also known as lightness,
luminance, value, darkness.
Saturationthe clarity of a color, the extent to which it is not dulled or grayed. The less gray in a
color, the higher the saturation. Also known as chroma, purity, intensity, vividness.
Color Balance–the relative amounts of cyan, magenta, and yellow in the image. Balance can be
adjusted individually in three aspects of the image:
Shadows–the darkest tones of an image, ranging approximately from 80% to 100% ink
coverage.
Midtones–the middle range of tones of an image, ranging approximately from 20% to 80% ink
coverage.
Highlights–the brightest tones in an image, ranging approximately from 0% to 20% ink
coverage.
Contrast–the level of variation between light and dark areas in an image. This is also known as
brightness contrast, to differentiate from color contrast.
