Select the Select Input Console option to enable console messages to be displayed on the screen
when you turn on the system:
a.
1) Enable the Acpi(HWP0002,700)/Pci(1|1)/Uart(9600 N81)/VenMsg(Vt100+) option.
2) If prompted, save the setting to NVRAM.
3) Enter x to return to the previous menu.
b. Select the Select Output Console option to enable console messages to be displayed on the
screen when you turn on the system:
1) Enable the Acpi(HWP0002,700)/Pci(1|1)/Uart(9600 N81)/VenMsg(Vt100+) option.
2) Enable the Acpi(HWP0002,700)/Pci(2|0) option.
3) If prompted, save the setting to NVRAM.
4) Enter x to return to the previous menu.
c. Select the Select Error Console option to enable console messages to be displayed on the screen
when you turn on the system.
1) Enable the Acpi(HWP0002,700)/Pci(1|1)/Uart(9600 N81)/VenMsg(Vt100+) option.
2) Enable the Acpi(HWP0002,700)/Pci(2|0) option.
3) Enter x to return to the previous menu.
4) If prompted, save the setting to NVRAM.
5) Enter x again to return to the previous menu
d. Select the System Reset option to reset the system and enter y to apply the changes.
13. Turn off power to the node:
a. Press Ctrl+b to exit console mode.
b. Enter CM to display the Command Menu.
c. Enter PC and enter off to turn off power to the node.

The callouts in the figure enumerate the following:
1. The port labeled LAN 10/100 is the MP connection to the ProCurve Console Switch.
2. The port labeled LAN Gb A connects to the Administration Switch (branch or root).
3. The port labeled LAN Gb B is used for an external connection.
