To avoid duplication of information, from time to time you are instructed to refer to information
in the other documents in the HP XC System Software documentation set.
To reduce the size of screen displays and command output in this document, a three- or four-node
system was used to generate most of the sample command output shown in this document.
Naming Conventions Used in This Document
This document uses the naming conventions and sample IP addresses listed in Table 2. Internet
Protocol (IP) addresses used in this document are not intended to be actual addresses. You are
free to select your own host names.

Several additional services can now be configured to be highly available if the head node
becomes unavailable. See Table 1-2 (page 31) for more information.
Several new prompts to configure additional services for improved availability were added
to the cluster_config utility. See Section 6.5 (page 105) for more information.
The discovery process supports double density HP BladeSystems such as the HP ProLiant
BL2x220c. If your hardware configuration contains double density blade servers, you must
use the new --extended {contiguous|non-contiguous} option on the discover
command line. See Section 4.3 (page 68) and Section 4.4 (page 72) for more information.
Typographic Conventions
This document uses the following typographical conventions:

A percent sign represents the C shell system prompt. A dollar
sign represents the system prompt for the Korn, POSIX, and
Bourne shells. A number sign represents the superuser prompt.
audit(5) A manpage. The manpage name is audit, and it is located in
Section 5.
Command
A command name or qualified command phrase.
