4. Ensure that you have in your possession the DVD distribution media that is appropriate for
the cluster platform architecture. The HP XC System Software and the open source software
source code DVDs are included in the architecture-specific media kits that were shipped to
you.
5. If the head node is an HP server blade model, you must have the following items available:
A PC or laptop with a local DVD drive
A recent version of Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer running on the PC or laptop
6. Be prepared to supply the information listed in Table 2-6 during the Kickstart installation
session.

The following criteria apply to installing and using mirroring on the head node:
The head node must have a minimum of two disks.
The disks must be the same size.
The /boot partition on HP Integrity hardware models cannot be configured
with software RAID-1.
HP recommends that you do not configure software RAID on hardware models
configured with smart arrays.

During the installation process, a numbered list of disks discovered on the head
node appears, and you are prompted to select a disk on which to install the
software:

The disk must be 36 GB or larger.
The disk must not be connected to a SAN device.
