VDS Hardware Providers
VDS Hardware Providers 5.02.00 includes the following enhancements:
• Supports P9500 disk arrays
• Supports the following features for Snapshot:
• Discovering and listing snapshot LUNs along with Normal LUNs
• Unmasking snapshot LUNs
• Masking snapshot LUNs
• Supports the following features for Thin Provisioning:
• Discovering and listing ThP LUNs along with Normal LUNs
• Unmasking ThP LUNs
• Masking ThP LUNs
• Supports command device authentication for P9500 disk arrays
• In a VMware ESX server environment, a single command device can be shared at an instance by
a maximum of 15 guest operating systems (virtual machines), each running an instance of VSS or
VDS hardware providers
VSS Hardware Providers
VSS Hardware Providers 5.02.00 includes the following enhancements:
• Supports P9500 disk arrays
• Supports command device authentication for P9500 disk arrays
• Supports Snapshot
• Supports Thin Provisioning
• Provides an option to select the secondary volume host group
• In a VMware ESX server environment, a single command device can be shared at an instance by
a maximum of 15 guest operating systems (virtual machines), each running an instance of VSS or
VDS hardware providers
NOTE:
• The Thin Provisioning feature is supported from XP20000 and later.
• The Snapshot feature is supported from XP10000 and later.
