HP StorageWorks P9000 Application Performance Extender Software 2.2 Release Notes

The IP address of the hosts should not be changed after installation.
If the management station is down for a certain duration, the controller works with the set SLO
values, but performance data for that duration is not available.
After a PRM group configuration change, configuration data must be collected again for that host.
If a management station has been restarted, host discovery will take a while depending on the
number of hosts connected to the management station. For example, a set up with 32 hosts con-
nected to a single management station will take two to eight minutes.
If you add or configure ports on XP arrays, or add new MP Blades in P9500 disk arrays, ensure
that you restart the controller.
Perceptible workload differentiation may not be achieved with P9000 Application Performance
Extender in certain low or medium load conditions.
For highly oscillating or random workload conditions, HP recommends that you set bandwidth
targets.
You can hide offline hosts, but you cannot remove hosts that are registered with the management
station.
If the controller service is not stopped properly, XP and P9500 disk array performance may be
impacted.
To view performance graphs for more than two workloads, ensure that you reset the sliders to
their original position.
If you acquire a resource lock on a P9500 disk array, the Dynamic LDEV Ownership Management
(DLOM) feature will not be effective until the lock is released.
The workload or MP blade performance data can grow only up to 1 GB each. Oldest Performance
data will be purged once that size is reached.
During the removal of the last installed license for a P9500 disk array, you may occasionally en-
counter an error message even though the license is removed from the system.
Command devices with LUN ID greater than 256 are not supported.
Removal of the APEX Management Station will proceed even when the application is in use.
Occasionally, event messages will not appear in the message pane even when the operation is
complete.
