This issue occurs when all of the following conditions are met:
Capacity meets the following formula:
2,949,120 MB (approximately 2.8TB) < (Volume capacity) <= 3,145,663.75 MB (approximately
2.99TB)
Basic Volume is selected as the volume type.
When using the Allocate Volumes dialog box or Allocate Like Volumes dialog box, there is no
volume that meets the specified condition in the dialog box.
CLI
AddLogicalUnit command
This issue occurs when all of the following conditions are met:
XP P9500, XP24000, or XP20000 is specified for the model parameter.
A capacity that is greater than 3,019,898,880 KB (approximately 2.8 TB) is specified for the
capacity parameter.
If this occurs, create a target volume using Element Manager, and then perform necessary operations
for it using Device Manager.
Capacity specification for virtualizing a volume
In the Virtualize Volumes dialog box or the CLI AddExternalArrayGroup command, when
virtualizing a volume, specifying a capacity that is greater than 4.0TB for a volume and XP P9500 for
internal storage system, the virtualization of the volume generates the following message.

An error occurred during processing on the storage system. (error code 1
= "605", error code 2 = "66744", meaning = "It is not set within the range
where LDEV capacity can be used.") If the configuration was being changed,
refresh both the storage system and external storage system. If you are
a local user, contact the system administrator.
