7. Execute the hcmdsbackups command to back up the database.

Specify the absolute path of the directory on the shared disk in which the database backup
files are stored.
Make sure that no files or subfolders are in the directory specified for the dir option.
When you execute the hcmdsbackups command, the directory database will be created in
the directory for storing backup files, specified with the dir option, and these files will be
combined and stored as the file backup.hdb.
8. Stop the P9000 Command View AE Suite product services.

9. Use the cluster management application to enable failover of the resource group.
Change the settings of the resources listed below.
HP StorageWorks XP Tiered Storage Manager
DeviceManagerServer
HCS Device Manager Web Service
HBase Storage Mgmt Web Service
HBase Storage Mgmt Common Service
HiRDBClusterService _HD0
P9000 Command View AE Suite product resources other than the above
For Microsoft Cluster Service
Right-click the resource name, and choose Properties, the Advanced tab, and then Restart.
For Microsoft Failover Cluster
Right-click the resource name, and choose Properties, the Policies tab, then If resource fails,
attempt restart on current node and If restart is unsuccessful, fail over all resources in this
service or application.
10. In the cluster management application, bring online the resource group in which the P9000
Command View AE Suite product services are registered.
Restoring databases
If an error occurs with a database, use the following methods, depending on the situation, to restore
the database:
When a database inconsistency occurs:
The database can be restored by using a database that has been backed up via the hcmds-
backups command.
All of the following must be same between the management server when the database was backed
up and the management server when the database is restored:
Type, version, and revision of the installed P9000 Command View AE Suite products
Installation destination of the P9000 Command View AE Suite products
Installation destination of Common Component
Installation destination of the P9000 Command View AE Suite product databases
Installation destination of the Common Component database
