CAUTION:
If the GUI displays a warning message, manually refresh the corresponding storage system inform-
ation.
You can also specify the settings so that information in the database is automatically updated in
case a user forgets to perform a manual refresh after changing the storage system configuration.
To do so, set up the following properties:
server.dispatcher.daemon.autoSynchro.doRefresh property
server.dispatcher.daemon.autoSynchro.type property
The Device Manager server cannot detect changes of LDEV status (such as normal, blocked, being
copied). Also, the Device Manager server cannot detect the following configuration changes per-
formed on XP24000/XP20000:
- Creating, changing, or deleting copy pairs
- Changing the access attribute of an LDEV (such as Read/Write, Read Only, or Protect)
In the Device Manager server the configurations of storage system are treated as changed for the
following triggers:
- Restarting SVP
- Refreshing the configuration information of storage system displayed in Remote Web Console.
- Switching the SVP in a cluster configuration from the executing node to the standby node, or
vice versa.
- Turning on the DKC
- The configuration of a THP/Smart pool is changed
#
The configuration of the Snapshot data pool or the Fast Snap data pool is changed

For P9500, if you specify false for the server.dispatcher.daemon.configUpdate.de-
tection.variable.enabled property, you can prevent a warning message from being
displayed in the Device Manager GUI when the pool configuration is changed.

Specify whether to automatically refresh the storage system information in the database if the Device
Manager server detects that the configuration of a P9500 or XP24000/XP20000 storage system has
changed.
If true is specified for this property and a user does not perform a manual refresh after the Device
Manager server detects a change, the information of P9500 or XP24000/XP20000 in the database
is automatically refreshed at the interval specified in the
server.dispatcher.daemon.autoSynchro.type property. If false is specified, the database
is not automatically refreshed.
