CAUTION:
A configuration definition file should exist as a prerequisite for managing copy pairs from Device
Manager (except for copy pairs defined as a device group).
If a copy pair is created by using Remote Web Console, SVP, or RAID Manager LIB, you cannot use
Device Manager to operate these pairs because the configuration definition file does not exist. To
manage copy pairs created by these management tools, you need to perform either of the following:
Release the copy pair by using the management tool that was used when creating the copy pair,
and then re-create the copy pair by using Device Manager.
Manually create a configuration definition file that defines the copy pair.
System configuration for using the local management method to manage copy pairs
Set up the management server, hosts (application servers), and storage system so that the prerequisites
are satisfied.
