In Linux:
Log in as a root user, and then execute the following command:
installation-directory-for-Common-Component/bin/hcmdssrv -start
CAUTION:
• Services of other P9000 Command View AE Suite products whose versions are 5.7 or later are
started at the same time. For details about how to start services of P9000 Command View AE
Suite products whose versions are earlier than 5.7, see the manual for your product version.
Stopping services
The following services are stopped whenever a P9000 Command View AE Suite product service is
stopped:
• HiRDB
• HBase Storage Mgmt Common Service
• HBase Storage Mgmt Web Service
• HCS Device Manager Web Service
• DeviceManagerServer
• HP StorageWorks XP Tiered Storage Manager
• All P9000 Command View AE Suite product services present on the same server
In Windows:
Log in as a user with Administrator permissions, and then stop the services in either of the following
ways:
By using Windows functions:
Select Start > All Programs > HP P9000 Command View Advanced Edition Suite > Manage Services
> Stop.
By using the following command:
installation-folder-for-Common-Component\bin\hcmdssrv /stop
In Linux:
Log in as a root user, and then execute the following command:
installation-directory-for-Common-Component/bin/hcmdssrv -stop
CAUTION:
• Services of other P9000 Command View AE Suite products whose versions are 5.7 or later stop
at the same time. For details about how to stop services of P9000 Command View AE Suite
products whose versions are earlier than 5.7, see the manual for your product version.
• In Linux, do not stop Common Component before it has completed startup. If you do so, the service
status might indicate that the service has stopped even though a resident process for the service
is running, or you might be unable to stop the service. In such cases, restart the computer.
