Backing up an SQL Server database to a secondary volume
This section provides an example of performing an online backup of an SQL Server database between
volumes.
To back up the SQL Server database:
Back up the SQL Server database onto the secondary volume.
Perform an online backup of the SQL Server database. To perform the backup, execute
EX_DRM_SQL_BACKUP with the operation ID Operation_A:
DBServer > EX_DRM_SQL_BACKUP Operation_A -system
Restoring an SQL Server database to a primary volume
This section provides an example of recovering an SQL Server database when the backup data is
stored on the secondary volume. This example restores the data from the secondary volume to the
primary volume by resynchronizing the volumes. The operation ID is Operation_A.
