• Regarding start of RAID Manager instances between storage systems
RAID Manager instances between a local site and a remote site are not automatically started.
Start the RAID Manager instances on the remote site in advance.
Configuration for restoring SQL Server database backup data
on a host different from the backup host
When the backup is of an SQL Server database, data on a host that differs from the host used for
backup can be restored. To restore data by using Application Agent on a host that differs from the
host used for backup, the system needs two servers: database server 1 for backup, and database
server 2 for restoration. Operations are usually performed on database server 1, but when an error
occurs on database server 1, the operations are switched to database server 2.
In this configuration, install Application Agent both in database server 1 and in database server 2.
Execute backup commands on database server 1, and restoration commands on database server 2,
respectively.
The following is an example of a system configured to restore data on a host that differs from the host
used for backup.
