HP XP P9000 Replication Manager Software 7.6.0-00 Application Agent CLI User Guide

Figure 44 Data backup and restoration in a system configuration where multiple disk groups exist in
a file system
In this figure, disk groups DG01 and DG02 each of which consists of two physical volumes are
configured. Three logical volumes are created on DG01 and one logical volume is created on DG02.
Mount points D:, E:, and F:, are assigned to DG01 and mount point G: assigned to DG02.
In this case, specifying a mount point directory batch definition file in the drmfsbackup command
enables Application Agent to back up data. In this mount point directory batch definition file, the
mount points of all the file systems defined in the disk groups are written.
Example:
In this example, the command uses the mount point directory batch definition file mp_dg01.dat
to specify the mount points D:, E:, and F: of DG01, and the mount point G:of DG02:
PROMPT> drmfsbackup mp_dg01.dat -mode cold
KAVX0001-I The drmfsbackup command will now start.
KAVX0019-I Copying file(s) now...
KAVX0040-I The backup ID has been assigned as follows:
Backup ID = 0000000001
KAVX0002-I The drmfsbackup command will now end.
PROMPT>
For example, specifying DG02 file system (G:) following the -target option of the drmfsrestore
command enables Application Agent to restore only DG02. Executing the drmfsrestore command
without -target option restores both DG01 and DG02 file systems.
