Launching the Performance Advisor GUI
Before you can launch the Performance Advisor GUI, you must set up the client.properties file
on the Device Manager server.
Operations to complete in advance
Set up Performance Advisor.
For details about the system requirements and setup method, see the Performance Advisor manual.
Information to collect in advance
Performance Advisor URL
To launch the Performance Advisor GUI:
1. Stop the HP XP7 Command View Advanced Edition product services.
2. Specify the protocol, host name or IP address, and port number in the Performance Advisor URL
for the following properties in the client.properties file of Device Manager server:
Protocol: client.launch.HPPA.report.protocol property
Host name or IP address: client.launch.HPPA.report.host property
Port number: client.launch.HPPA.report.port property
The format of a Performance Advisor URL is as follows:
protocol://host-name-or-IP-address:port-number/pa/CVAE
3. Start the HP XP7 Command View Advanced Edition product services.

Analyzing the performance of Continuous Access Journal
If Device Manager, Replication Manager, and Performance Advisor are linked, you can check the
performance information of Continuous Access Journal from the Replication tab to analyze the cause
of C/T Delta deterioration in Continuous Access Journal.
Information required for analysis is collected from Replication Manager and Performance Advisor.
From Replication Manager, configuration information from copy groups and pair management servers,
and performance information such as C/T Delta performance information and journal volume usage
