If the host is a virtual machine and you execute the hldutil command after changing the con-
figuration of the P-VOL or S-VOL, this information might not be displayed correctly. In this case,
restart the virtualization server to display the information correctly.

In the case of HP-UX 11i v3, this item is not displayed for a persistent special device (persistent
device special file).
#3:
If the virtual WWN is assigned to the virtual machine by using NPIV, the physical WWN of the
virtualization server is displayed.
