You can specify any printable ASCII character other than the following special characters:
\ / : , ; * ? " < > | $ % & ' ` ^
However, you can specify backslashes (\), colons (:), and forward slashes (/) in Windows, or
forward slashes (/) in UNIX as a path delimiter.
f
Use this option to forcibly overwrite the directory if the directory specified by the o option already
exists.
Maintenance information is output to the following location:
In Windows:
folder-specified-for-the-o-option\target_hdcResult
In UNIX:
directory-specified-for-the-o-option/target_hdcResult
Acquiring maintenance information on the Device Manager agent (TIC command)
Execute the TIC command to acquire maintenance information on a normal host or virtual machine
managed by the Device Manager agent.
Operations to complete in advance
Log in as a user with Administrator permissions (for Windows) or as a root user (for UNIX).
Command format
In Windows:
TIC.bat [-outdir folder-name [-f] [-d [addon-module-name]]]
In UNIX:
TIC.sh [-outdir directory-name [-f]]
Location of the command
In Windows:
installation-folder-for-Device-Manager-agent\bin
In Solaris, Linux, or HP-UX:
/opt/HDVM/HBaseAgent/bin
In AIX:
/usr/HDVM/HBaseAgent/bin
Options
-outdir
Use the absolute path or a relative path from the current directory to specify the output destination
for the maintenance information.
Note that you cannot use the following characters for any elements other than path separators:
\ / : , ; * ? " < > | $ % & ' ` ^
If this option is omitted, the directory that contains the TIC command will be used as the output
destination.
