In Exchange Server 2007:
If you have specified ON in the
EXG_SCR_SEED parameter, specify
whether seed processing is to be executed
even if a connection cannot be established
with some of the targets set for the storage
group.
Specify ON to execute seed processing even
if connections with some of the targets fail.
Specify OFF if an error is to result when a
connection with even one of the targets
fails.
In Exchange Server 2010 or Exchange
Server 2013:
This parameter is required if you have
specified ON in the EXG_DAG_SEED
parameter.
Specify whether seed processing is to be
executed even when Microsoft Exchange
Replication Service is not running on some
of the Exchange Servers that have the
passive mailbox database copies to be
restored.
Specify ON to continue the restore operation
even when Microsoft Exchange Replication
Service is not running on some of the
Exchange Servers.
Specify OFF to output the error message
when any of the Microsoft Exchange
Replication Services are not running.

This parameter is effective only in a DAG
configuration with Exchange Server 2010
or Exchange Server 2013.
Specify whether the seed function is to be
enabled in the DAG configuration.
To enable the seed function, specify ON. To
disable the function, specify OFF.
EXG_DAG_SEED
The rules for the Exchange environment configuration file are as follows:
A parameter name is case sensitive.
A line beginning with # is treated as a comment line.
Specify a parameter in the format parameter-name=parameter-value.
Delimit the parameter name and parameter value with a single-byte equal sign (=).
If you execute the command without the -ef option specified, or if the parameter does not exist,
the same operation as when the default value is specified will be performed.
