Settings for Using CLI Commands in TSO/E Environments
Business Continuity Manager provides TSO/E commands such as YKBLDCMD, YKMAKE, and
YKSUSPND. These commands require access to services granted on MVS in order to perform I/Os
to offline devices.
To allow access and to make these commands available in a TSO/E environment:
1. Define the HPQYLNKT library (the load library in which CLI commands are stored) in the
PROGxx parmlib member, and register APF authorization using the SETPROG APF,ADD
command.
2. Concatenate the HPQYLNKT library to LNKLST by using the SETPROG LNKLST command.
For details, see the MVS System Commands.
NOTE: APF authorization is set by default for the link list, so this operation registers the APF
authorization for the HPQYLNKT library. For details about APF authorization for the LNKLST
datasets, see the MVS Initialization and Tuning Reference, because there are some exceptions.
3. Register the CLI command name YKCONMSG to the AUTHCMD section of the IKJTSOxx parmlib
member.
Once this update is complete, TSO/E can be updated dynamically using the TSO/E PARMLIB
CHECK(nn) and PARMLIB UPDATE(nn) commands. See the TSO/E System Programming
Command Reference.
Settings for using ISPF panels with Business Continuity Manager
YKSTART is a REXX script that provides an ISPF panel interface. Executing the YKSTART command
enables Business Continuity Manager for ISPF panels.
YKWPROC is the procedure for a YKWATCH background job and for the copy group definition
generation function for PPRC copy pairs. To use the YKWATCH command or the copy group definition
generation function for PPRC copy pairs, specify the JCL of the background job for JCL JOB Statement
in the Set Defaults panel.
Concatenating the libraries needed to execute the YKSTART command
To concatenate the libraries needed to execute the YKSTART command:
1. Concatenate the REXX Exec library HPQYEXET or HPQYEXVT to the DD name SYSEXEC.
If the library that is concatenated to the DD name SYSEXEC is a fixed length format
(LRECL=FB), concatenate to the REXX Exec library HPQYEXET.
If the library that is concatenated to the DD name SYSEXEC is a variable length format
(LRECL=VB), concatenate to the REXX Exec library HPQYEXVT.
2. Concatenate the panel library HPQYPNLT to the DD name ISPPLIB.
