HP StorageWorks P9000 for Business Continuity Manager Software Installation Guide (T5253-96052, May 2011)

To configure the environment settings without using the Remote DKC Control Function:
1. Set up the storage system. For details, see the HP StorageWorks P9000 for Business Continuity
Manager Software User Guide.
2. Create configuration file datasets. Create datasets for the following configuration files:
Disk configuration definition file
Copy group definition file
For details, see “Creating Configuration File Datasets” (page 50).
3. Install BCM. For details, see “Installing Business Continuity Manager” (page 14).
4. Configure the environment settings for the BCM agent. For details, see the following sections:
“Setting the TCP/IP Port Number” (page 58)
“Setting Up the Security for Business Continuity Manager Agents” (page 58)
“Setting Up IBM HTTP Server” (page 60)
“Creating Initialization Parameters” (page 65)

5. Start IBM HTTP Server.
6. Start the BCM agent. For details, see the chapter about linking the BCM agent to P9000
Replication Manager in the HP StorageWorks P9000 for Business Continuity Manager Software
User Guide.
7. Configure the P9000 Replication Manager initialization settings. For details, see the HP
StorageWorks P9000 Replication Manager Software Installation and Configuration Guide.
Configuring the Environment Settings Using the Remote DKC Control Function (New BCM
Installation)
Figure 5 (page 53) shows the general procedure for configuring the environment settings starting
from before installation of Business Continuity Manager, using the Remote DKC Control Function.
