Symptom D: The following error occurred, and the operation did not succeed:
Message ID: KAIC15259-E
Message: The following volumes cannot be specified: LDEV-ID A LDEV Expansion/LUSE LDEV
cannot be allocated to a host or external port. Revise the specification.
NOTE: The LDEV ID of a non-representative LDEV that makes up the LUSE volume is displayed
for LDEV-ID in the message.
Operation E: You selected a LUSE volume, and then opened the Create LUSE Volume dialog box.
Symptom E: The following error occurred, and the operation did not succeed:
Message ID: KAIC15546-E
Message: Unallocated volumes cannot be expanded. Allocate the volumes and retry.
Operation F: You selected a LUSE volume, and then opened the Migrate Data dialog box.
Symptom F: The selected LUSE volume did not appear in the list of selected volumes in the dialog
box, and you could not continue with the operation.
Operation G: You selected a LUSE volume, and then opened the Edit Labels dialog box.
Symptom G: A non-representative LDEV that made up the LUSE volume appeared in the list of
selected volumes in the dialog box. If you continued with the operation, the label for the
non-representative LDEV that made up the LUSE volume was edited.
The following symptom occurred when you displayed the list of volumes in the [External Volumes]
tab.
LUSE volume information incorrectly appeared as follows:
The displayed number of No. of Paths was more than the actual number.
Information about a non-representative LDEV that made up the LUSE volume sometimes
appeared.
The following symptom occurred when you displayed the list of volumes in the [Available External
Volumes] tab.
LUSE volume information incorrectly appeared as follows:
The displayed number of No. of Paths was more than the actual number.

Important considerations
Displaying the volume list and the volume details of file system data
In the volume list and the volume details which show its file system data, the data is not displayed
when the following conditions are met:
The volume is allocated to a Windows Server 2012 host.
The volume described in the first condition is a part of the volumes which composes a memory
area pool.
The volume mounted in the host described in the first condition is the virtual disc which is created
from the memory area pool described in the second condition (memory area space).
The host described in the first condition is added or updated to Device Manager server by a
Device Manager agent or a Host Data Collector.
