Installation of Device Manager Agent
Make sure Device Manager Agent is installed on both pair management servers that manage a
primary and secondary volume.
Link between Device Manager server and Device Manager Agent
Make sure Device Manager Agent links correctly with Device Manager server using the
hdvmagt_account command. If the link is incorrect, execute this command on the pair management
server to change the settings.
1. Log in to the pair management server as a user with Administrator or super user permissions. If
the OS you are using is Windows Server 2008 x86, Windows Server 2008 x64, or Windows
Server 2008 R2, start the command prompt as Administrator.
2. Execute the hdvmagt_account command and make sure the Device Manager agent is correctly
linked to the Device Manager server.
For Windows:
<Device-Manager-agent-installation-folder>¥bin¥hdvmagt_account.bat
For Linux or HP-UX:
/opt/HDVM/HBaseAgent/bin/hdvmagt_account
