2 Setting up Replication Manager
This chapter explains how to set up and configure Replication Manager.
Overview
This section is an overview that lists all the tasks that need to be performed.
To set up and configure Replication Manager:
1. Before installing Replication Manager, you must back up the databases of other P9000 Command
View AE suite products in use, on the management server where Replication Manager is installed.
For details about how to back up databases, see the application product manuals.
2. Set up the necessary infrastructure as described in Setting up the prerequisite
environment on page 47.
3. For a cluster environment, follow the appropriate procedure in the HP P9000 Command View
Advanced Edition Suite Software Administrator Guide before installing Replication Manager.
NOTE:
After installing or updating Replication Manager, you must back up the new configuration data.
