instructions for installation and configuration of the HDvM agent as described in the HP P9000
Command View Advanced Edition Suite Software Installation and Configuration Guide.
18. When the installation finishes, restart Windows.
NOTE:
If the Application Agent is installed on a host without a database application installed,
Replication Manager will fail in any attempts to obtain information by refreshing the host.
If this occurs, one of the following error messages is displayed:
RPM-11004 - The specified SQL instance name is invalid or no SQL
instance settings exist. RPM-11509 - Exchange Server has not yet
been installed on this system.
Adding Application Agent to the Windows Firewall Exception
list
NOTE:
As of 7.1, automatic Windows Firewall Exception registration is supported. The following procedure
is not required unless the process failed or you elected not to add the exceptions when prompted
during the Application Agent installation.
The Application Agent service services are as follows:
Copy Controller
Common Agent
If you chose not to add these services to the Firewall Exception list for Windows during the installation
of Application Agent (or the process failed with an error), you must configure the exceptions manually.
To do this, follow this procedure:
1. Add the Copy Controller service to the list using this command:
Application-Agent-installation-folder\DRM\bin\util\drmaddfwlist.bat
2. Add Common Agent service to the list using this command:
Application-Agent-installation-folder\bin\firewall_setup.bat -set
