HP P9000 Tiered Storage Manager Software 7.4.0-00 Release Notes (TB585-96028, December 2012)

Delay displaying the volume list when creating a Data Placement Profile
If there are 256 or more volumes in a logical group that is used in the Data Placement Profile, it might
take several minutes to display the volume list in the Create Data Placement Profile dialog box and the
KAIC16902-E error might occur depending on the environment.
When creating the Data Placement Profile for the logical group that has 256 or more volumes, divide
the logical group into multiple logical groups to make the number of volumes contained in each logical
group 255 or fewer.
Deletion of the logical group with data placement profiles
When deleting a logical group with data placement profiles, first delete the schedule set for data
placement profiles.
If the logical group is deleted before deleting the schedule set for data placement profiles, the schedule
remains. When the scheduled date arrives, the task with the data placement profiles executes and
generates the KAIC15753-E error.
Manage Data Placement Profiles (Logical Group View) dialog box
In the performance chart of Manage Data Placement Profiles (Logical Group View) dialog box, the
information on profile operation history may be displayed outside the performance chart.
However, the proper information is displayed within performance chart.
If this occurs, adjust datetime in From to accommodate the information on profile operation history in
the performance chart.
Estimated time for the search inconsistency task (search inconsistent data placement
profile task)
The estimated time of a search inconsistency task is not displayed.
Storage system links in the Mobility tab
When a link concerning the following storage systems is clicked on the volume list of the logical group,
a KAIC16850-E error dialog box is displayed.
XP12000/XP10000/SVS200
XP1024/XP128
If the KAIC16850-E error dialog box is displayed, close the error dialog box.
To see information about the target storage system, see the Resource tab.
Migrating Mainframe THP volumes
If a Mainframe THP volume is migrated with optional shredding specified, the volume is not deleted
after the shredding. If necessary, delete the volume by using Element Manager.
The zero page reclaim option has no effect in migrations that have a Mainframe THP volume specified
as a source. The storage system automatically executes a zero page reclaim.
