Device Manager CLI commands that can be executed while a storage system is locked described in
AddArrayReservation of the HP StorageWorks P9000 Command View Advanced Edition Suite
Software CLI Reference Guide and the following Device Manager CLI commands:
AddPool
ModifyPool
DeletePool
AddVirtualVolume
ModifyVirtualVolume

Using copy groups defined by device groups in Replication Manager
Make sure that the microcode version of the P9500 storage system is 70-02-00-XX/XX or later
before using copy groups defined by device groups.
Using a virtual command device and managing copy pairs from
Replication Manager
If a Replication Manager license is not registered, a virtual command device is used, and copy pairs
are managed, the following condition must be met:
When copy pairs are configured using Virtual Storage Platform volumes, resource groups
must be configured using storage systems, not LDEV IDs.
If this condition is not met, displaying the following Replication Manager windows might be slow:
All windows in the Pair Configurations view
All windows in the Pair Configuration wizard
Using the Subtarget parameter of GetLogicalGroup CLI command
In the GetLogicalGroup command, only Path is valid for the subtarget parameter. Host and
HostStorageDomain are invalid for the parameter.
To confirm hosts contained in logical groups, use the GUI.
Allocate Smart Tiers Software volumes
To allocate Smart Tiers Software volumes that have been allocated to hosts, perform either of the
following operations:
allocate volumes from the search result window
allocate volumes from the logical group window
The KAIC15001-E error message in the GUI
If the GUI displays the KAIC15001-E error message, startup of Device Manager might have failed.
The following might be the cause for this issue:
Ports required to start Device Manager are used by other processes.
Verify the ports described in the Port settings of the HP StorageWorks P9000 Command View
Advanced Edition Suite Software Administrator Guide are not being used by other processes.
