Description
The drmexgbackup command backs up the Exchange database of a primary volume to a secondary
volume. If Exchange Server 2003 Standard Edition is used, the command backs up the entire database.
If Exchange Server 2003 Enterprise Edition or Exchange Server 2007 is used, the command either
backs up the entire database or performs backups for each storage group. If Exchange Server 2010
is used, the command either backs up the entire database or performs backups for each Information
Store.
Before you execute the drmexgbackup command, make sure that the database files and log files
are stored in separate copy groups.
Before this command is executed, the system cache of the secondary volume must be cleared. Mount
or unmount the secondary volume on the backup server to clear the system cache.
When the drmexgbackup command is executed on the local site, and the pair status is SMPL, the
command does not automatically create a pair. In such a case, if the PAIR_CREATE parameter in
