Description
This extended command executes the drmexgbackup command, which backs up the Exchange
database that is in the storage group or Information Store specified by the operation ID from the
primary volume to the secondary volume. When this extended command performs a backup, a backup
ID is generated.
If the target database is an Exchange Server 2003 Standard Edition database, the extended command
backs up the entire database. If the target database is an Exchange Server 2003 Enterprise Edition
or Exchange Server 2007 database, the command allows you to specify whether to back up the entire
database or individual storage groups. If the target database is an Exchange Server 2010 database,
the command allows you to specify whether to back up the entire database or individual Information
Stores.
