HP XP P9000 Command View Advanced Edition Suite Software 7.6.1-00 CLI Reference Guide

Commands related to resources after a data migration that
uses virtual IDs
The Device Manager CLI supports operations for resources (host storage domains, ports, and volumes)
that contain virtual information.
You can perform operations on resources that contain virtual information for P9500 with a microcode
version of 70-03-30-XX/XX or later. Also, you can register, modify, and delete virtual information for
P9500 with a microcode version of 70-05-04-XX/XX or later.
TIP:
For P9500, when virtual IDs are used to migrate data, migration source information is registered
for the migration-destination resources as virtual information. The migration-source resources for
which information is registered to migration-destination resources are called
virtual resources
(for
example, virtual storage systems and virtual LDEVs).
Resources that contain virtual information are the resources that belong to resource groups that
are used for data migrations that use virtual IDs. Storage system management tools are used to
manage these resource groups.
The following table lists and describes the supported functions and commands.
