AddTieredPoolOperation
AddTieredPoolOperation manually monitors the performance of and relocates hardware tiers
for a Smart pool. To check the execution status of the AddTieredPoolOperation command, use
the GetTieredPoolStatus command.
NOTE:
This command can be used only with P9500.
This command can be used only when the automatic execution of performance monitoring and
hardware tier relocation for the target Smart pool is set to disable. You can check whether
automatic execution is set to disable by checking the autoMigration value of the Pool in-
stance.
To manually monitor performance and relocate hardware tiers, execute the
AddTieredPoolOperation command and the GetTieredPoolStatus command as follows:
1. Start performance monitoring.
Execute the AddTieredPoolOperation command with startMonitor specified for the
operation parameter.
2. Stop performance monitoring.
Execute the AddTieredPoolOperation command with stopMonitor specified for the
operation parameter.
