• The Device Manager GUI now supports the creation and expansion of the Smart pool with mixed
media in Tier 3.
The supported internal storage system is HP XP P9500 Storage.
• The Device Manager now supports the functionality to apply a CLP to unallocated THP volumes
when the volumes are allocated.
The supported internal storage system is HP XP P9500 Storage.
• The Device Manager now supports the functionality to apply labels to volumes when the volumes
are allocated.
The supported internal storage system is HP XP P9500 Storage.
• In Device Manager, hosts of virtualized servers can now be manually registered.
• In Device Manager, the drive type information for FMD and SSD is displayed separately.
If the drive type is SSD, the flash memory chip type is displayed separately between SLC and
MLC.
Also, FMD can now be selected during volume creation and allocation. If SSD is selected, SLC
or MLC can be selected as the flash memory chip type.

• The Device Manager GUI now supports data shredding for volumes. If a storage system does not
support data shredding, it will format the volume instead.

• In the Device Manager GUI, the trend chart can now be displayed on the Mobility tab. This chart
contains capacity and performance information for the THP/Smart pool.
The following data is displayed in the trend chart:

Capacity Usage–
– Average Input IOPS
– Average Output IOPS
◦ Smart pool Tiers
Capacity Usage–
– Average IOPS Utilization
The supported internal storage system is HP XP P9500 Storage.
The capacity and performance information in the trend chart can be exported in a CSV format.
• In the Device Manager GUI, performance and capacity for the Smart pools that are displayed in
"Top10: Tiers with the Highest Performance Utilization" can now be viewed on the Mobility tab.
