Stopping HP XP P9000 Performance
Advisor Realtime service, please wait…
To stop the UNIX host agent and real-time services:
• To stop the HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor Hostagent service, type
/opt/xppa/hostagent/sbin/xppa stop in the command prompt window.
• To stop the HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor Realtime Server service, type
/opt/xppa/realtime/xpparealtime stop in the command prompt window.
IMPORTANT: To fasten the process of stopping the UNIX host agent services, do the following
before executing the above-mentioned commands:
1. Open the XPPA file in the VI editor. The XPPA file is available at the following location: /opt/
xppa/hostagent/sbin on your UNIX host.
2. Set the value for MAX_SECONDS as 30.
3. Save and close the XPPA file.
To stop the OpenVMS Integrity Server host agent and real-time services:
At the system prompt, enter the following: @SYS$COMMON:[HEWLETTPACKARD.HP XP
P9000HOSTSW.HOSTAGENT.SBIN]stopXPPA.com
At the system prompt, enter the following: @SYS$COMMON:[HEWLETTPACKARD.HP XP
P9000HOSTSW. realtime]stoprealtime.com
Restarting host agent services
To restart the Windows host agent and real-time services:
To restart the host agent service, repeat step 1 mentioned for starting the Windows host agent and
select Restart HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor Host Agent from the menu that appears.
The following indicates that both the Windows host agent and real-time services have restarted:
