PA environment variables check: Verifies whether PADB_HOME and HPSS_HOME environment
variables are created and do not contain trailing slash, else displays an error message.
Hard disk space check: Verifies whether 64 GB free space is available in the PADB location,
else displays a warning message.
Physical memory check: Verifies whether 1 GB of physical memory is available on the system,
else displays a warning message.
PA database check: Verifies the connection to Oracle database. If connection is not possible,
the tool displays an error message.
During this check, the tool uses the PADB_HOME variable to connect to Oracle database to
ensure that the value of the variable is correct. If the Oracle database is not initialized, the
tool recommends to run oracledb helper tool.
PA database tables check: Verifies whether new PA v5.5 tables are created and also verifies
whether PA database version is correct else displays an error message.
NOTE: HP XP P9000 Installation Assistant does not check for all the PA tables but some
tables to ensure that database installation/upgrade is successful.
JAVA heap size check: Verifies if the Java minimum heap size is less than 128 MB and the
maximum heap size is less than 256 MB, else displays an error message.
Post uninstallation scenario
If HP XP P9000 Installation Assistant detects that HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor is uninstalled
on the system, the Post-Uninstall tab is enabled, and the following tests are performed:
