Static IP address
To assign a static IP address, do the following:
1. Right-click My Network Places and select Properties.
2. In the Network Connections window, right-click the network that you are using and select
Properties from the pop-up list.
3. In the Local Area Connection Properties window, select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) from the This
connection uses the following items list, and click Properties.
4. In the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties window, select the Use the following IP Address
option and provide the IP address details.
Similarly, select the Use the following DNS server addresses option and provide the relevant
details.
5. Click OK on the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties window and the Local Area Connection
Properties window.
Assigning ports for HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor on the management station
NOTE: This section is applicable only if you want to install HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor
on the management station. This information is not applicable if you want to perform an upgrade
procedure.
Port 80 on your management station is the default port that the HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor
Tomcat service in HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor uses for all its communications. However,
you can configure HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor to use a different port by specifying that
port number during the installation. The same port number should be specified during the Windows
and UNIX host agents installation, so that the host agents can communicate with HP XP P9000
Performance Advisor.
