Pre installation scenario
If HP XP P9000 Installation Assistant detects that HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor is not installed
on the system, then the Pre-Install tab is enabled, and the following tests are performed:

• Target Operating System check: Verifies whether the target operating system is compatible
with HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor v6.0, else displays an error message.
• Environment variables check: Verifies whether the following environment variables are present
on the system. If any of the following variables are present, it displays an error message.
◦ %ORACLE_HOME%
◦ %ORACLE_SID%
◦ %CATALINA_HOME%
• Hard disk space check: Verifies whether 1 GB free space is available in the temp location
and also verifies whether 64 GB free space is available in all the drives, else displays a
warning message.
• Physical memory check: Verifies whether 1 GB of physical memory is available on the system,
else displays a warning message.
• Static IP check: Verifies whether the system has static IP address, else displays an error message.
