HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor Software v6.0 Install Guide

IMPORTANT:
If Adobe Flash Player v10.1.85.3 or later is installed on your management station, it blocks
commonly reserved ports as a security measure to prevent unauthorized activities. If a port
number is specified at the end of a URL, it is verified against the list of commonly reserved
ports. If the port number matches any entry in the list, the network request will be rejected and
a securityError event will be logged. So, ensure that the port you select is not listed in
the commonly reserved ports list. For the list of reserved ports, see http://kb2.adobe.com/
cps/402/kb402882.html.
The Tomcat server in the SSL mode (HTTPS) will continue to use the default port 443, and
should not be changed.
By default, port 80 is reserved on the management station for the P900 Performance advisor
and host agents communication, during the HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor upgrade or
the host agents upgrade. You might experience connectivity issues in scenarios where you
install HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor and upgrade the host agents, or vice versa, and
provide a port number other than port 80 during the installation. The connectivity issue can
arise after the HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor or the host agents upgrade, as port 80 is
still expected to be used for the host agents to communicate with HP XP P9000 Performance
Advisor. To resolve connectivity issues, see the HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor Software
Troubleshooting and FAQs Guide. For document download information, see “Related
information (page 116).
For information on the default and non-default ports used by HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor,

For HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor to use the port of your choice, release that port's association
with any other application on your management station (if associated).
To know which application is using the port that you want, execute the following command:
C:\>netstat -o -n -a | findstr 0.0:<port #>
Example:
C:\>netstat -o -n -a | findstr 0.0:80
