This section describes the following host agent prerequisites that you must complete before installing
the HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor host agents:

Verifying the supported configurations for HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor host
agents
To install the HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor host agents, verify that you have the supported
configurations in the following categories:
• “Hardware” (page 36)
• “Software” (page 36)
Hardware
Your Windows or UNIX hosts must include the following respective hardware requirements:
• Microsoft Windows host:
DVD drive◦
◦ 1 GB free space on hard drive (NTFS)
◦ Ethernet LAN card connected to the network
• HP-UX, Sun Solaris, IBM AIX, or Linux host:
DVD drive/CD-ROM (read-only DVD drive is preferable)◦
◦ Disk space:
HP-UX (1 GB)–
– Sun Solaris (1 GB)
– IBM AIX (1 GB)
– Linux (1 GB)
– OpenVMS Integrity Server (IA-64) (1 GB)
◦ Ethernet LAN card connected to the network
Software

versions for the Windows and UNIX host agents, and the Windows operating systems that are
