HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor Software v6.0 Install Guide

3. The installation wizard verifies the following on your management station and takes the
appropriate action:
If Microsoft .NET Framework v2.0 or later is installed.
If Microsoft .NET Framework v2.0 or later is not installed, a message appears displaying
that the required version is not available. Click OK on the message dialog box for the
installation wizard to install Microsoft .NET Framework v3.5 (recommended version).
If IIS Admin service is active or has stopped on the management station, and its startup
type is set to one of the following, the installation wizard takes appropriate action based
on the startup type:
If the IIS Admin service is running and the startup type is Automatic, the installation
wizard stops the service and sets the startup type to Manual.
If the IIS Admin service has stopped and the startup type is Automatic, the installation
wizard only sets the startup type to Manual. The IIS Admin service continues to remain
stopped.
If the IIS Admin service is running and the startup type is Manual, the installation
wizard only stops the service. The IIS Admin service startup type continues to show
Manual.
If the IIS Admin service is stopped and the startup type is Manual, no action is taken
by the installation wizard.
After the installation completes, you can start the IIS Admin service again. It is valid
only if HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor is configured to use a port other than the
one IIS Admin service is supposed to use.
If the firewall is enabled, its settings are configured so that port 80 (or the port that HP
XP P9000 Performance Advisor uses) and port 443 are added to the exception list of the
firewall. This is to enable the web browser clients to access HP XP P9000 Performance
Advisor after installation.
After the above mentioned prerequisites check is completed, the HP XP P9000 Performance
Advisor Welcome installation window appears (see “HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor
Welcome installation window (page 46)). The installation window framework consists of the
following:
