This appendix describes the compatibility between versions of Replication Manager and other
Command View AE Suite product versions.
Restrictions when Replication Manager and Device Manager
versions differ
The following restrictions for configuring the Replication Manager system are dependent on the version
of Device Manager that is installed on the components (management server, pair management server,
and hosts).

The following functions are not supported:
• License usage and alert settings
• Remote path settings (creation, editing, and deletion)

• LDEV format output of configuration definition files

The following restrictions apply:
• specifying CTGID manually with the Pair Configuration
Wizard is not supported
• The maximum number of LDEVs that can be managed for
an open system; in the case of Medium the number is
80,000, and in the case of Large the number is 130,000

The notification of when the Device Manager and Replication
Manager configurations are not synchronized and will not be
properly executed. Instead, the notification that you should
synchronize the configuration will always be displayed, instead
of only when necessary.
