D Checking the pair management server
information managed by Device Manager
server (for the Core CLI License)
To check host (pair management server) information that is managed by the Device Manager server
when Device Manager Core CLI License is enabled, use Device Manager CLI. This appendix describes
how to use Device Manager CLI for this purpose.
Overview
Before using Device Manager CLI, read Preparing to use Device Manager CLI on page 157 and
perform necessary checks and setup procedures.
The following are steps necessary to check the pair management server information that is managed
by Device Manager server:
1. Check whether Device Manager server recognizes Device Manager Agent installed on each pair
management server.
2. Check whether Device Manager server recognizes the command devices allocated to pair
management servers.
3. Check whether Device Manager server recognizes the replication configuration that is managed
by each pair management server.
The explanations below assume that Device Manager CLI is used to execute commands on a host on
which Device Manager server is installed. For details about Device Manager CLI, see the HP P9000
Command View Advanced Edition Suite Software CLI User Guide.
