Application replica environment
To configure the required infrastructure for Replication Manager for application (database) replica
operations:
1. Install HP P9000 Command View Advanced Edition Suite on the management server.
For details, see the HP P9000 Command View Advanced Edition Suite Software Installation
Guide.
2. Install P9000 RAID Manager on the pair management servers.
For details, see the relevant P9000 RAID Manager manual.
3. Install Device Manager Agents on the pair management servers.
For details about how to install and set up Device Manager Agents, see the HP P9000 Command
View Advanced Edition Suite Software Administrator Guide.
4. Install Application Agent on the hosts (database server and backups server).
For details, see Chapter 3 on page 61.
Adding a link menu to the GUI display
In the GUI, you can register a link to any Web application or Web page (including links to Device
Manager servers used as information sources). Registering links adds Links menu items to the Go
menu in the global tasks bar area. To register or delete a link, execute the hcmdslink command,
as follows.
In Windows:
Common-Component-installation-folder\bin\hcmdslink {/add|/delete} /
file user-defined-application-file /user user-ID /pass password
In Linux:
Common-Component-installation-directory/bin/hcmdslink {-add|-delete}
-file user-defined-application-file -user user-ID -pass password
hcmdslink command options
The options for the command are shown in the following table.
