Notes:
1. Cluster environments are not supported for usage with GPT disks. Please use MBR disks.
2. Exchange Server 2003 is not supported.
3. To perform restore when a cluster source is online, the Microsoft Cluster Service correction
module (Hotfix 903650) is required. Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack 1 or Windows
Server 2003 R2 is the prerequisite OS,
4. This is supported only when using the Application Agent CLI.
5. Be sure to install the FailoverCluster-CmdInterface (an optional component of WSFC). For details
about optional components, see the Microsoft documentation.
Cluster considerations
The following considerations apply to cluster support and operations:
Application Agent supports both mutual standby cluster configurations (Active-Active) and opera-
tional standby cluster configurations (Active-Passive). However, For the cluster configuration,
Hitachi Replication Manager Software (Server) supports the Active - Passive configuration only.
To restore backup data, the database must be taken offline. If a database is taken offline while
the cluster resources that are monitoring the database are still online, a failover will occur. This
usually requires controlling control cluster resources manually. With Application Agent, cluster
resources that monitor the database are automatically taken down and brought back online
whenever Application Agent is used to perform a backup or restore operation for data.
In a cluster environment using MSCS/WSFC, you can choose whether to perform a restore oper-
ation while the cluster resources that monitor the database are online or offline. For a restore op-
eration in which the cluster resources are offline, you need to take all the databases that are using
